Monday 7th April 2003 - New Members Walk - Get Healthy! Circular walk from Lingfield Countryside Centre to Newham Grange Leisure Farm through Marton West Beck. Enjoy a guided tour around the Leisure Farm to see some of the new born lambs. Picnic or stop off in the cafe in Newham Grange. Meet at 10.00am at Lingfield Countryside Centre and return at about 2.30pm Thursday 8th May 2003 - Loftus Loop. Walk down to Scaling Dam via Ridge Lane, with a stop at 'The Grapes Inn' for a drink while having lunch. Wander back to Loftus afterwards. Meet at 10.00am outside Safeway on Loftus High Street. Friday 6th June 2003 - The Tees Valley Corridor Walk. To mark 'National Wildlife Week' join Jonathan (from Tees Valley Wildlife Trust) for a walk around Maze Park and Portrack Marsh Nature Reserves. Meet at 10.00am at 'The Talpole Inn' near the Barrage. Friday 18th July 2003 - The Teesdale Way Spectacular. Join us for a glorious walk along the Teesdale Way in Lower Teesdale down to Darlington. Bus drop off in the lower dale and then get the train back to Teeside. Walk into Darlington along the riverbank enjoying beautiful views of both the river and dale. Sunday 27th July 2003 - The Miner's Way. join a guide from Tom Leonard's Mining Museum and have a wander through Loftus and Skinningrove taking in the coastal path around Hummersea, and discover more about the ironstone and alum mining that once took place there. Meet at 1,00pm at Tom Leonard's Mining Museum, Skinningrove. |
