Wales Coastal Path

May 5th is a very important day for Wales. It is the official opening of the complete coastal walking path, the culmination of five years of planning and the final linking of various existing paths to create a continuous walk of 870 miles! What a fantastic walk this will be with stunning cliff scenery, golden beaches, fascinating wildlife and much more. This achievement is a credit to the Welsh government and all involved in its realisation.

Three official opening ceremonies have been planned at Cardiff, Flint and Aberystwyth. Environment Minister, John Griffiths will officially open the Wales Coast Path at the Cardiff Bay event. There will be family and community events at all three venues showcasing coastal Wales and including entertainment and local food and drink.
