Why should I register with Walking Pages?

If you register with us we will record the purchases you make and credit your 'postage account' with £0.50 for each item purchased, which is a more than 60% rebate on the UK post and packing charge! You can use the value in this 'postage account' to claim a free walking guide or map up to the value you have accrued. The scheme is designed to reward customers who purchase from us on an occasional basis, providing a means by which earlier postage charges can be discounted for regular customers.

How do I claim books under this scheme?

Simply select the book you would like and, once you have sufficient value in your postage account to cover the cost, e-mail, fax or write to us giving your name, address and the title of the book or map you want. We will then send your choice to you post free! We will, of course, then reduce the amount in your postage account by the value of the book. If you do not know how much credit you have, just email sales@walkingpages.co.uk to request this information giving your name and address. You cannot take the value credited to your account in cash, but only towards the cost of purchases from Walking pages.

Important note for customers already registered: Originally this promotion offered £0.70 credit per item ordered, but due to increased average weight of walking books and consequent increase postal charges we have had to reduce the credit to £0.50 per item with effect from 01/03/04. Credits of £0.70 accrued prior to this date will, of course, still be valid.

What information will Walking Pages hold about me?

We will only keep on file your name, postal address, e-mail address, and a record of the products you have purchased plus, of course, the value credited to your postage account. We will not keep any financial information such as credit card numbers or any other personal information. If at any time you wish to discontinue your registration you have only to notify us by e-mail and we will delete all your records. In such a case If the value of any credit in your account is insufficient to pay for a book in full, you can use the value in your account towards the cost of the book, just paying the difference. You cannot take the value credited to your account in cash, but only towards the cost of purchases from Walking pages.

We promise not to harass you with correspondence. We will send you an e-mail no more than once every three months confirming any balance in your postal charges account and informing you of new walking guides which may be of interest to you.

How do I register?

It's very simple. When you go to the checkout to purchase a walking guide you will be asked, during the on-line purchase procedure, to click a check box if you want to be remembered. Click the 'Remember me' box and you are registered. That's all there is to it.
