The Inn Way to Northumberland is a 94 mile (151km) circular walk divided into six day long stages. The route has been devised by Mark Reid, author of the guide book, and has been planned to allow you to experience many aspects of Northumberland's varied landscape, from the wild Cheviot Hills to the lush Coquet Valley and the sweeping strands of the Northumbrian coastline. The route passes no less than 48 traditional country pubs, from which you can select where to stay or eat, and will leave you with a deeper knowledge and understanding of Northumberland.
The six stages, as described
in the guide, are as follows:
Day 1 - Rothbury to Warkworth (17.5 miles)
Day 2 - Warkworth to Embleton (15 miles)
Day 3 - Embleton to Bamburgh (11 miles)
Day 4 - Bamburgh to Wooler (16 miles)
Day 5 - Wooler to Alwinton (20.5 miles)
