Yorkshire Wolds Way

Location: East Yorkshire; North Yorkshire

OS Maps: Explorer 293; 294; 300; 301

The Wolds Way crosses the gently rolling chalk uplands of the Yorkshire Wolds. The farming dales of this region are very attractive and the countryside is peaceful and unspoilt. The route, which is well waymarked and easy to follow, will take you through this tranquil land with fine views, wooded slopes and secluded valleys. There are also many features of interest along the route including one of our best preserved deserted medieval villages at Wharram Percy. And the route has a spectacular finale at the dramatic geological curiosity of Filey Brigg.

The Wolds Way links with the Cleveland Way at Filey making it possible to extend a walking holiday by connecting both paths.
