Sunday 25th July 2010 - North of Cheadle: Join Parks and Countryside Ranger Gareth Knapper for a walk through the countryside to the north of Cheadle. This walk will have two start locations, the car park of the old Council Offices on Harborne Road at 11.00am or at the side of the Miners Rest public house on Hammersley Hayes Road at 11.30am. The walk will be just over 6 miles or 4.5 miles depending upon starting point. Grid Reference SK 010438 Tuesday 24th August 2010 - Waterhouses Walk: Join Shaun Stanley on this 3 hour, 5 miles walk taking in the countryside around the beautiful Hamps Valley. Meetat 11.00am at the cycle track car park behind Ye Olde Crown Hotel. Grid Reference SK 085501. Wednesday 8th September 2010 - Gradbach: This walk goes through Gradbach Woods to the amazing Lud's church and then on to roaches End before returning. Distance 5 miles. Please bring packed lunch and meet at 10.30am at Gradbach car park. Grid Reference SJ 998664. Sunday 12th September 2010 - Dovedale Approaches: Avoid the Dovedale crowds. We will visit Ilam, Thorpe and possibly climb Thorpe Cloud. The route will be tailored to peoples ability and will take in parkland and riverside paths. Distance 7 miles, time 4 hours. We may see the start of the autumn colours. Bring packed lunch. Meet John Mills at car park at Blore Pastures. Grid Reference SK 135499. Sunday 19th September 2010 - Werrington Wander: Join us on a varied walk of woods. fields, lanes and moor around Werrington via the hamlet of Hulme and poen heathlands of Wetley Moor Common. Meet Steve Massey, Trees and Woodlands Officer, at the Armshead Road car park, Werrington at 2.00pm. Distance about 5 miles, returning about 5.00pm.
